About Us

Our Story
Mexican cuisine is more than food—it's tradition, culture, and a rich blend of aromas and flavors that come together to create unforgettable experiences and lasting memories around the table.
Macaji embodies all of these elements in every creation. We honor the tradition of using the finest ingredients, crafted with an artisanal approach where the warmth of home and "grandma's secret recipe" remain at the heart of everything we make.
The name Macaji was revived by our founders from an agricultural community established in the 1950s. The community was built on the belief that working the land with dedication and supporting one another would produce the highest-quality ingredients and the greatest rewards for everyone involved.
The name itself is a tribute to the essence of Mexican gastronomy:
-
Ma – representing maíz (corn), the foundation of Mexican cuisine, and mole, one of its most iconic culinary traditions.
-
Ají – honoring the chili pepper, known throughout Latin America as ají, an essential ingredient that gives character, flavor, and identity to countless regional dishes.
At Macaji, every product celebrates the authenticity, craftsmanship, and heritage that make Mexican cuisine truly extraordinary.
